Hardware Used: High speed camera.
Hardware Location: Above hitting zone.
Measurements Taken: Ball speed, club speed, vertical launch angle, horizontal launch angle, club path and club angle.
Calculations Made: Carry, distance, shot height, angle of attack, side spin, back spin and smash factor.
Using a high speed camera from above, gives reasonable measurements of the club and the ball performance; sent uninterrupted to the computer, for the software’s ball flight. Above hitting zone hardware does not tend to get damaged, as the golf swing is not nearby. The measurement zone is 38” x 44” or 0.97m x 1.12m which is a reasonable detection area ensuring decent accuracy.
